We are delighted that Councillor Cahal Burke, Mayor of Kirklees, has selected Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity and the Royal Air Force Association (Huddersfield branch) to be the Mayor's Charity of the Year 2023/24.

Councillor Cahal Burke said: "Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity and the Huddersfield branch of the Royal Air Force Association are very close to me, and it is great that I will be able to support them during my term in office.

"Both are rich in values of providing unwavering help for our communities and to people who are in difficulty that need a guiding hand or help to support them. I am looking forward to raising the profile of both these charities and attending their events over the next 12 months."
