Thanks to your kind donations, CHFT charity have been able to contribute £80k to the new Rainbow Child Development Hub which has been relocated to the Clock House in Elland.

The Rainbow Child Devlopment Service supports children and young people aged 0-18 years who have complex needs, development delay and disabilities. This service has Paediatric Consult Led clinics several times a week for their patients.

This service used to be located next to the Learning Centre at Calderdale Royal Hospital on the South side of the hospital site. Calderdale Royal Hospital needed the building to be demolished to allow site expansion which is part of the reconfiguration of services across both hopsitals.

The Rainbow Child Development Unit needed a new space as this service is vital to many families. Families across Calderdale and Greater Huddersfield attend after referral for specialist support and care for their children. CHFT Charity waned to make sure that they secured the right building to carry on their amazing work and to enhance patient experience.

Clock House Building has enough space that can accommodate other support services required by families sich as specialst nursing teams and community therapy services. This helps reduce the need for multiple appointments in different locations, reducing travel, time, stress, and cost for families.

CHFT Charity also helped the Rainbow Child Development team to hold a fundraiser, Rainbow Toddle Waddle, which allowed them to fund accessible outdoor equipment.
