We are on a mission to make an amazing and long-lasting difference to patient, family and staff experience.

We are dedicated to supporting our two hospitals and communities, bringing a ray of sunshine and enhanced patient and family experience.

We do this through fundraising, volunteering and working with CHFT staff to develop the most impactful projects.

Projects can range from enhanced equipment and resources - such as scalp coolers for chemotherapy patients, bereavement resources for those who have lost or face the loss of a loved one, or distraction technology for our youngest patients. This could also be transforming the clinical hospital and care environment into a welcoming and homely place to be.

We could not do any of this without our amazing community of supporters, who have helped to fund, and continue to fund the most impactful projects for people across our community.

We do this by:

• Engaging with communities across Calderdale and Huddersfield to increase our awareness.
• Supporting people to fundraise or donate in recognition for the care they or someone they care about may have received.
• Working with CHFT colleagues, to identify opportunities to turn the everyday into the amazing, through funding only the most impactful projects and initiatives. 
• Ensuring excellent governance and ethical standards of charity practice.

Our logo and symbols are a visual metaphor for the work the charity does. It radiates positivity synonymous with the charity. It is a reflection on how the charity spreads positivity, radiating a vibrant, warm, and positive effect within our hospitals, communities and across all the work the charity is involved in.

Positivity is at the heart of everything we do.

Together with our supporters and donors, the money raised by our charity makes an amazing difference to people's lives, providing help where the need is greatest and where outcomes are most impactful.
