On Sunday 26th June 2022

The Eye Clinic are completing an 8km sponsored walk from the Eye Clinic at Calderdale Royal Hospital to our Eye Clinic at Acre Mills in Huddersfield to raise funds for the department. The funds raised will go towards improving patient care and experience, develop supportive initatives for patients and staff alike and support further training and development. The funds will also go to developing the Paediatric Rewards Scheme throughout the eye clinic, in hopes this will improve the care we provide when running more invasive procedures.  

The walk is a great opportunity to promote one culture of care and is embedded in the Trusts values, enhance stall health and wellbeing and also boost team morale, all whilst raising funds for the department. 

One of our colleagues in the eye clinic explained that "it's for the kids".
