Your donations helped ophthalmology pressures

Jonathan Drury, Trainee Advanced Practitioner in General Medicine, was able to attend a medical retina course because of your kind donations. This course gives people the opportunity to expand their knowledge of common medical retina conditions, it addresses the diagnosis, referral, and management of these conditions.

Jonathan expressed how helpful this course was to his work and was able to make a big difference in his area of work. The training that was provided allowed him to provide support to alleviate pressures on his ward. The course allowed Jonathan to understand how to complete the injection service which at the time was the busiest service. After completing this course, Jonathan was able to pick up additional sessions to relieve some of the pressures. With Jonathan being able to cover this service, it meant that the injection treatment could still carry on running during illness and annual leave.
