We have reached 25% of our target!

CHFT Charity isdelighted to share that, thanks to the incredible generosity and support of our amazing community, we've now raised 25% of our fundraising goal for the CHFT Charity Maternity Bereavement Suite Appeal.

Since launching in July 2025, over the past 4 months, you have walked, ran, baked, bucket collected, ‘tough mudder’ed’, volunteered your time and donated. And we cannot thank each and everyone of our supporters enough.

This special suite will provide families with a private, peaceful space to spend precious time together and receive compassionate care and support during the most difficult moments imaginable.

Knowing that we have achieved this milestone at the very start of Baby Loss Awareness Week 2025, Fundraising Assistant Emma-leigh Leeman reflects upon her experience of baby loss. Emma-leigh said:

At 2am on January 6th 2025, my baby, Riley,  was born sleeping at 17 weeks old. As a family we used the existing Bereavement Suite at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

I never thought that I would use the existing suite, however having first hand experience of the room – I know only too well how much of a difference the Maternity Bereavement Appeal will make.

I feel so incredibly lucky to have supported so many amazing fundraisers since the appeal launched. A particular highlight was cheering Theo, from Team Isaac & Luca, along the Big Hospital Walk Route.”

Every donation, share, and word of encouragement helps us get closer to making this vision a reality. Thank you to everyone who’s helped us reach this milestone — we truly couldn’t do it without you.

Let’s keep going together!
