#WhatWeFundedWednesday

Thanks to recent donations, we have been able to support and fund items to turn a basic staff area into a wellbeing room for colleagues who work on Ward 19.

Following staff survey results, Kate Broadhurst, Ward Manager for Ward 19, and Karen Farrar, Matron on Ward 19, noted that there was no space on the ward for colleagues to take some time out and reflect on their work and personal life. They wanted to pull something together where colleagues could feel comfortable and relaxed whilst feeling supported as well.

Kate and Karen wanted to get the team invovled so that the wellbeing room suited all. Valyre Williams, Healthcare Assistant, played a big role in bringing the new room to life. Thanks to donations, we were able to purchase 3 leather tub chairs to enhance the space and to enable staff to rest and relax whilst visiting the wellbeing room.

The team are all about looking out for one another so have included a wellbeing wall, important telephone numbers, coffee pods, food for students and much more!

We'd like to say a big thanks to Rob Aitchison, Deputy Chief Executive, for attending the Wellbeing Room Reveal.

Aren't our colleagues and supporters just amazing!!
